Open your docx file from File in the toolbar, edit it, then choose Save as PDF.
What carries over
Paragraphs, headings, lists, table text, footnotes and character styles such as bold and italic. Images, shapes and charts are left out and counted for you. Headers, footers and page numbers are not carried over.
The layout will differ
The content is moved into the editor and printed again, so margins, fonts and spacing change. For a pixel-exact copy, save to PDF straight from Word.
Frequently asked questions
Do password-protected files open?
No. Encrypted docx files and the old Word format (doc) are not opened. Remove the password or save as docx in Word first.
