Getting ready
Open the editor or notes once while online and the editor is stored on this device. From then on it opens even with no connection, on a plane or in the subway. The app works the same way.
What works offline
- Viewing your document list and opening documents you have opened on this device
- Creating documents and notes, writing and editing
- Importing files, downloads and saving as PDF
What needs a connection
AI tools, sentence review, image and file attachments, publishing proof of writing, signing in and subscribing need a connection.
Saving
What you write offline is kept on this device. When you reconnect it is saved to your account automatically and the status changes to Saved. Closing the browser before you reconnect does not lose it.
If the same document was edited on another device while you were offline, you choose which version to continue with when you open it after reconnecting.
What stays on the device
The editor files and the documents you opened on this device stay in browser storage. On a shared computer, sign out when you are done.
